The short version
No account or email is required to use the matcher. Quiz progress and the latest result stay in browser local storage. TripPaca does not send the complete profile to analytics or booking providers. A profile leaves the browser only if a human-planning path is available and the visitor explicitly consents and submits the form.
What stays on this device
The selected origin gateway, month, length, party, budget band, travel-effort preference, weather, interests, pace, crowd tolerance, transportation preference, deal-breaker, unfinished progress, and latest result may be stored locally. Clearing this site’s browser data removes them.
Optional analytics
With permission, Google Analytics 4 measures coarse events such as quiz starts, numbered step views, completion, result views, comparisons, tuning, wildcard views, shares and shared-link opens, DIY-kit views, provider category clicks, advisor-form opens and submission outcomes, destination-page views, and restarts.
Analytics does not receive exact origin, budget, party details, interests, deal-breaker, complete answers, destination names or ranking, contact fields, or advisor notes. Advertising signals remain disabled. The tag runs only on trippaca.com, stays off until allowed, and does not load when Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is enabled. “Privacy choices” in the footer reopens the decision.
Advertising
TripPaca includes Google AdSense code for site verification and, after Google approves the site, advertising. When the AdSense script loads, Google may receive normal request information such as IP address, browser details, page URL, and security signals, and may use cookies or local storage for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and personalization where permitted. TripPaca does not send quiz answers, destination rankings, advisor-form fields, or the complete trip profile to AdSense.
Advertising status and performance never influence destination eligibility, scoring, order, explanations, or the wildcard. Visitors in regions where consent is required must be offered the applicable Google-certified consent flow before personalized advertising is used.
Outbound planning links
Expedia and Viator links open those providers’ sites. TripPaca sends the destination in stay or experience search URLs where useful, but does not transmit the complete trip profile. The provider receives normal request information and applies its own privacy terms. Uncompensated links are labeled “Direct link.” If genuine account-issued affiliate configuration is added, affected links are labeled “Affiliate,” use rel="sponsored", and may result in TripPaca earning a commission. Compensation never changes matching.
Optional human-planning request
This route is disabled unless a real planning inbox and protected server configuration are present. When enabled, the form previews what will be sent and requires explicit consent. A submission contains the visitor’s name, chosen email address or phone number, optional note, quiz preferences, and top five destination names and fit scores. It is sent through TripPaca’s authenticated Google Workspace mail infrastructure only to the configured TripPaca planning inbox so someone can respond; it is not used to re-rank results or sold.
The endpoint uses a secure same-origin session, CSRF token, honeypot, strict field limits, rate limiting, authenticated TLS delivery, and duplicate-submit protection. Its append-only abuse journal contains a timestamp and an HMAC-hashed IP address—not the raw IP, contact fields, or trip brief. Hosting, Google Workspace, and the receiving mailbox may retain standard operational logs or delivered email under their respective retention and security practices.
Technical information
Hosting and security providers may process IP address, browser type, requested path, timestamp, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. TripPaca does not use that information to build traveler profiles.
Sharing and changes
Native sharing and copied share links contain the top three destination slugs and fit scores in the link itself so the recipient can see the shared shortlist and run their own quiz. They do not contain the sender’s origin, budget, party details, contact information, or full answers. Downloaded cards likewise contain only destination names and fit scores and are not uploaded by TripPaca. This notice may change as the product evolves; the effective date identifies the current version.
